Patrick Smith - Teacher

And just because I can stand out in the sun does not mean I will, mate. How about you convince me?

image

I’m sure there are… plenty of ways I can convince you. Please, Kol? We’d have a lot of time to relax.

perhaps we should. I’ll think about it.

image

Pleaaaase? Remember when we went to the Bahamas? That was nice, just relax on the beach. Relieve some stress and just have the nights to ourselves.

No don’t. I’ll do it. So long you don’t that use that dreaded petname again.

image

I’ll think about it, okay? Perhaps we can take another vacation sometime if so, to celebrate. And see, you’re so good to me. Love you - and oh, you need to fix your collar.

No, but I have a whole lot of them to entertain me through the centuries. You don’t need to work at all. Just tell me what you want and I’ll compel others to get it for you. A massage? I’ll consider it.

I think I’d be the youngest teacher to retire. And I’m an old man, y’know. You’ve always treated me like a prince, dear. Well I want a massage, and you’ve got magical hands, Kol. Don’t make me call you Kolymoly to get it.

Or you can just quit your job now and have fun, darling.

Money doesn’t grow out of trees, dear. Making a living isn’t necessarily the easiest thing as a teacher, so I have to do what I can. But I know how you can help if you wish. So massage my shoulders while I grade.

Just have to keep telling myself ‘the school year is almost over’. And it is. I don’t think I can stand grading another paper right now.

Has anyone seen the old man?

theoriginals-kolmikaelson:

I cant seem to find him anywhere.

I’m right here, Kol. Sorry. I was exhausted last night so I went to bed early.

A Turning Moment | Derek+Patrick

Derek looked down at the man and anxiously looked around to think as quick as he could. Pressing his shirt into the mans head he suddenly got serious and focused on his face “Patrick you’re bleeding. Bad. You’ll pass out soon from the loss of blood… I need to give you the bite. It’s the only way I see you living… The ambulance wont get here soon enough” he took in a stark breath and looked down at him with a burning need for him to answer, his gaze intense. It wasn’t a question anymore though. It was let him bleed out or give him a chance with this curse.

In another minute, Derek’s eyes began to glow a scarlet red and his fangs came out. “Im sorry.” He spoke and moved quick, biting above his hip harsh, knowing he wouldn’t be able to feel it before he retracted and forced himself back to watch the bite react. This better fucking work. Ah fuck, Kol would kill him for this. He knew it.

Looking at Derek he wanted to say no but he knew that if he didn’t get this he could die very easily right there. Whether it be from cardiac arrest, or something horrible was bound to happen regardless. Closing his eyes he thought about Kol and contemplated his choices. But alas, he could die before Kol even got there and that was just something he didn’t want to risk. He only hoped that he still loved him even if he was to become a wolf.

Right as he was about to say yes he saw Derek’s fangs become present and his eyes turned a deep and menacing red. Staring at him his mouth opened slightly and he braced himself for pain but alas, there was no pain because he couldn’t feel his body. Looking at Derek he felt a prick of something though… could it be his body accepting the bite? Whatever it was he just wanted to forget and move on. Laying his head back his eyes closed slowly and began to flutter while his heart pounded. Slipping back into unconsciousness he didn’t know if he’d come out of this one so soon.

A Turning Moment | Derek+Patrick

Derek was out for a late night run. He was getting tired of being chased by the hunters that seemed to be relentless lately. He slowed down as he looked around the woods and listened for any signs of live and let out an exhausted sigh. Dont they have anything better to do? Derek shook the thought and shoved his hands into his jeans as he looked up at the quarter moon in the sky. The one thing that dictated his life since he was a child. Derek was lost in thoughts, reveling in memories of his past and the family he lost such a short time ago when he heard it. It was a gut wrenching scream and in that moment Derek was off. Sprinting on all fours at the sound he heard the sudden crunch as he skidded to a hault at the edge of the cliff, almost being thrown over the edge.

His heart was beating wildly as he looked down and saw the mangled body at the bottom “Oh fuck…. Patrick” he breathed, recognizing the scent of the first man he met when he arrived back in town. Leaping off the edge, Derek’s claws scrapped along the grass and stone, skidding down, jumping and landing on the granite before he was at the mans side “Patrick can you hear me?” Derek’s hands felt for the pulse in his neck before he noticed the blood “Shit. Patrick stay with me” Derek peeled the shirt from his body and placed it against the mans head, holding it there to stop the blood-loss as he thought fast. “Patrick Can you move??” He attempted to ask him slowly as he assessed the damage from his fall and it wasn’t looking good, he wasn’t screaming in pain so he feared he couldn’t feel it.

Unconscious when Derek found him, his eyes slowly flickered open once more and he squinted. Hearing the voice of what sounded like Derek he scrunched his face in confusion. What had just happened? He blacked out but he knew that he had fallen but he just didn’t remember the part about the paralysis. His eyes opening a little more he tried to move his fingers but nothing.

As he tried to move his body more and more, his emotions became more erratic as he began to yell and all it did was that he was thrashing his neck around. He was at least thankful he could breathe at this point. But no amount of witchcraft could help him. “Derek… I can’t fucking move. I’m… I can’t move from the neck down,” he said as his mouth quivered.

A Turning Moment | Derek+Patrick

Why in the hell was Patrick in the woods especially at night in a place like Rosewood? Sometimes he even astounded himself in stupidity. With his hands in his pockets he listened as those typical spooky woods sounds made their way through the air. An occasional hoot, rustling, twigs breaking and well, Patrick was just used to it at this point. If anything happened to him Kol would break a few necks and rip out a few hearts regardless. As he walked through he looked around and simply smiled.

As he came even further and further to an unknown and long drop he stopped for a minute and pulled out his phone. Looking down at some of the attempted sexts that Kol sent to him he laughed and took a picture of him giving a ‘duck face’ and sent it to Kol. You don’t know how to sext. Have a duck it said. As he walked and sent it he should’ve been paying attention or else this wouldn’t have happened.

Just as he put his phone into his pocket his foot got snagged under a thick root and he went forward. Being flung off of the cliff he yelled in fear as he went further towards the granite ground. His body making a deafening crunch he was struck unconscious. As his eyes slowly opened and closed he could hear his heart pounding as he tried to move his legs. No such luck… neither with his arms… or anything from his neck down. Trying his very best there was no chance that he could fix this. He was paralyzed and as far as he knew nothing could help. His lips coming together he tried to fight back some of the tears as his head still poured out more blood. Going in and out of consciousness he closed his eyes for what he thought would be the last time.
